I can't believe that I just saw this. CBS news is reporting that the National Park Service is allowing a book to be sold at the Grand Canyon, that states that the Canyon was formed in a single event, Noah's flood.
This is blasphemy.
The Canyon is one the world greatest features. You can see it from space. To suggest that it was formed by a single act, trivializes the time and effort that went in to form it.
I have hiked in and out of the Canyon and run its rapids. The experience is sublime. The Canyon results from the stroke of a master working long and hard. You can't create this beauty in one single stroke or even a dozen strokes. It takes millions.
