I think that I am going to be hurting tomorrow. I spend about 5 hours today helping haul trash out of Coyote Creek from underneath the San Antonio Street Bridge. The Friends of Coyote Creek do these clean-ups every couple of months.

While this was my first time participating, I am guessing that it was a successful event. We cleared out 3-4 mattresses and about 9 bags of trash from the creekside under the bridge. We also pulled over a dozen shopping carts, half a dozen auto tires, two bicycles, and an auto convertible frame from out of the creek bed.

In a previous post, I mentioned how the creek was the most natural setting around. Right now, I am wondering how it survives under the load of trash that is dumped into it.

But I feel like I accomplished something good today. And though my shoulders, back, and knees are a bit tight and sore right now, I will sit in the hot tub tonight and feel good.

I just hope that I can move in the morning.
