The Education Arcade looks like it will be a very interesting conference.  It directly precedes the Gaming Industry conference E3.  The list of presenters includes Henry Jenkins from MIT.

Henry Jenkins will be in Vancouver in June to deliver the opening plenary at the NMC conference.

The UBC learning conference just concluded yesterday. As usual it was two full days of diverse presentations on teaching and learning. I participated in three presentations and was unable to attend much of the first day including the opening plenary (I think there is almost no chance that someone was blogging it ;-)).

I led a discussion on the upcoming NLII-NMC Horizon Virtual Community of Practice. One of the goals of the Horizon VCOP is to identify and evaluate emerging technologies that may impact higher education. Much of what I will be doing in this next year is listening to people and gathering examples of emerging technologies, their uses and the needs of educators. My audience was enthusiastic and contributed many great ideas and references.

In a brief post-presentation discussion on the gaming industry, upcoming conferences and the shortage of compelling educational games, I may have located an entrance pass to E3 next week!

My Radio Userland woes are over thanks to Userland support team.  Thanks to Lawrence I am able to browse all of my older posts.  Thanks Lawrence!

I plan to make more use of the 'Stories' function in Radio in the near future as I continue to evaluate this tool, Tinderbox, various wiki flavours and VoodooPad.
