I am testing out a VOIP phone!  UBC is one of the largest WiFi hotspots anywhere, but because of its location and distance from the central business core, cellular coverage has always been a little spotty (IMHO).  Wifi VOIP is a great solution and seems to work well so far.

I would love to get the Cisco phone to some other WiFi hotspot to see how easy it is to 'roam'.  I often travel with an Apple Airport, plugging it into my hotel room high speed port.  Would this little (actually is a slim brick - three times larger than my current phone) phone work on my travelling hotspot?  It would only take saving on about 16 hotel phone calls to justify the cost of this handset.

Want to test it?  Give me a call (number posted later today).
