The answer, for me at least, is "I don't know". Because I can only shoot what I see, who know knows what scenes I've passed up, unaware that there were right color contrasts--breathtaking to the other 90% of you. On the hand, I'm really drawn to the aesthetics of Black and White photography, where one uses colored filters to create contrast in your images. Sometimes, I have a hard time seeing what colors are there, so I don't know which filter to use to lighten or darken them. For example, are those "Are those leaves orange, or green?". Do I use a green filter, or a yellow?. My solution: just guess! 11:32:56 AM
