This picture, though not especially stunning, is interesting because of the filters used to make it happen. This is a digital shot, infrared, taken without an infrared filter--I'd accidentally left that critical peice of gear behind. So what did I do to pull it off? I placed two polarizing filters on my lens, crossed, so that they were blocking almost all the visable light, and then exposed the image. I wsn't sure if it would work at all, but I lucked out. Visable light light stays out, IR gets in. Whee! I'm a genius. 11:44:56 PM

Woo-hoo! As of today I have a darkroom again! Well, everything but the room I suppose. I just bought an enlarger, tanks, trays, safelight, paper, filters, chemicals, the whole 9 yards! Now all I have to do is build a few walls, move around some plumbing, install some counters, ...
Geez, I might be a little busy for the next couple of weeks. 10:09:11 PM
