Program cuts Vietnam village malaria deaths to zero [Reuters Health eLine]
This program worked so well in its first 4 years that in the fifth, malaria deaths rose from 0 to 18. Why? Because the people did not view malaria as a problem anymore and stopped working with the program. The same thing is seen with HIV programs, TB, etc. Humans just seem unable to do something unless immediately threatened. For infectious disease, this could be too late. 9:59:55 PM

Trellix Blogs. Trellix, a pioneer in easy-to-use online authoring tools, has integrated weblogging straight into its Web site design set. Why doesn't every web site creation system come with blogging tools? Seems so natural.
You can read Trellix founder Dan Bricklin on the new offering here. [JOHO the Blog]
Dan Bricklin was behind the first real killer app for the personal computer, the spreadsheet. Visicalc was made for the Apple II and was the first software program that really drove the sale of specific hardware. A very smart guy. 9:53:41 PM

This is an article that should be read by all. Humans are so god a finding patterns that we find them everywhere. As stated in this article, there is a 50:50 chance that when two soccer teams compete on the field that 2 of them (if you count the ref) will have EXACTLY THE SAME BIRTHDAY!! 23 people in a room and half the time you will find some people with the same birthday. I even know how to do the math;-) 9:08:08 PM
