Photo to Movie. Excellent! Another program made easier by the unique graphics capabilities of Mac OS X.
<quote>
Photo to Movie enables you to create a movie by zooming and panning over a photo. It presents a simple interface to specify the starting and ending frames and generates full quality QuickTime or DV Stream files (compatible with iMovie). Photo to Movie only runs on Mac OS X.

This depressing Governor's Race

Simon is an idiot, Gray Davis is a greedy idiot. Davis is probably going to win anyway. The more commercials Davis runs and the more Simon tries to make some headway, the less I think of either of them This guy seems to be a good choice to me, for a lot of reasons. It's clear that the state would be in much, much better shape over the next decades with him in charge than it would be with the slimy Davis and the moronic Simon.

Here is a list of positions. I don't know about anyone else, but this more accurately describes the California I want to live in than what either of the other parties are talking about. Voting Green can only help move the Democrats in a better direction.

A Blue Meanie?

Nah, just a dope.

Montana's Libertarian candidate for Senate has turned blue from drinking a silver solution that he believed would protect him from disease.

Sad News, Arts & Literature Daily Shuts Down [The Virtual Acquisition Shelf and News Desk]
Ouch! This one was high on my bookmark menu; I'll be very sorry to see it go. I wished they'd had an RSS feed, but the front page was easy to read, and contained a lot of stuff. Iconoclastic, interesting, and with some links that you don't see everywhere.

What a time!

Gad, but I've got a bunch going on now. The Giants are in the playoffs! Richard and Genevieve and Greg and I went to the game last night at Pacbell Park and saw a great slaughter of the Braves. It was fun doing a cockeyed tomahawk chop on them. Then tonight the Giants beat them agan.

Tomorrow night I'm off to Sacremento to the first of 4 Dylan shows in the next 5 days; 2 in Sacto, then two at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley. From the setlists so far, this looks like it's going to be fun.

Then next week, the Messiaens opera in San Francisco!

And Giants playoff games amid all the shows!

Wikipedia. the Free encyclopedia breaks 50,000 articles. For those of you who don't follow along, the Wikipedia is a Free, a multi-language, online-encyclopedia licensed under the GFDL that is created and edited by anyone and everyone. It has recently broken the 50,000 article mark (Brittanica has 85K). Wikipedia aims to one day have more and better articles than the Brittanica. Wikipedia's are currently available in 25 languages. Geez, but this one is news to me. Sounds like it's worth digging into.
