Ex-Veep Speech. "Democracy itself is in grave danger"
GORE: President Bush and Vice President Cheney have decided to fight to the rhetorical death over whether or not there's a meaningful connection between Iraq and al-Qaida. They think that if they lose that argument and people see the truth, then they'll not only lose support for the controversial decision to go to war, but also lose some of the new power they've picked up from the Congress and the courts, and face harsh political consequences at the hands of the American people. As a result, President Bush is now intentionally misleading the American people by continuing to aggressively and brazenly assert a linkage between al-Qaida and Saddam Hussein.
If he is not lying, if they genuinely believe that, that makes them unfit in battle with al-Qaida. If they believe these flimsy scraps, then who would want them in charge? Are they too dishonest or too gullible? Take your pick. (emphasis added)
Man, what are they putting in Al's Ovaltine these days? And is there any chance we could slip John Kerry a little dose? [Whiskey Bar]

Atkins Morning Start Cereal
Man, this stuff is awful!
I
picked up a box of it the other day, had a bowl yesterday, didn't care
much for it, so I tried again today and couldn't even get through the
bowl. They put a lot of Splenda in it, so it's very sweet, but they
need a lot of Splenda to hide its ghastly texture and taste. The first
couple of bites aren't so bad, but it crumbles into a sort of mush in
your mouth that gives eating cardboard a good name. I like trying
different cereals, but the sweet ones -- even the ones with lots of
bran and fiber -- have lots of calories, even if they're low carb or
fat, so I stay away from them. I learned my lesson, though, no more
Atkins brand cereals for me!
