You cannot make this up. You really cannot make this up. George W. Bush is beyond parody. Beyond all possible parody:
rubber hose: great moments in history: see how three presidents answered the question "what was the best moment of your presidency?" to summarize:
- carter: the camp david negotiations
- clinton: the resolution of the kosovo crisis
- bush: that time i caught a big fish on my ranch
y'know, as richard cranium says, bush is probably right. catching that fish probably was the best thing he's done since he entered the oval office. who says i never agree with the president?

IRIN - One in three Iraqi children is malnourished and underweight, according to a report released by the United Nations Children's Fund in Amman on 2 May. "Under-nutrition should not be accepted in a country like Iraq, with its wealth of resources," said UNICEF Special Representative for Iraq Roger Wright from the Jordanian capital, Amman. Wright added that ongoing insecurity served to deter parents from visiting health centers for essential services, while many health workers had been kidnapped or killed in different parts of the country. . . The problem is particularly dire in the south. . .' due primarily to a lack of health funding.

Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the MySQL User Conference two weeks ago in Santa Clara. Happily, though, PowerPoint (they work in Open Office, too) slides of the various presentations are now available here. I haven't read all of them yet, but the ones I have are very interesting and helpful. Highlights so far are the presentations about InnoDB and MySQL In-Depth for DBAs. They all look good, though, and I'll probably read them all. Highly recommended.
