I've been reading Jack Williamson for about as long as I can remember. And considering he published science fiction in every decade since the 1920ss, that mans only half of his career!. Here's the Wikipedia Entry on him. Locus has more links, and I'm sure there will be plenty of obituaries and remembrances to come, but start with John Clute's fine appreciation.
