Nader, the conservative choice?. I have heard Nader say that if he runs he will reach out to disgruntled conservatives by talking about how Bush has betrayed conservative principles by abridging individual rights while promoting corporate welfare and crony capitalism.... [LewRockwell.com Blog]
While he's right, I don't see how he expects to get any votes out of it. "Bush betrayed you, so vote for me--I'm honest about being your enemy!" Not the best campaign slogan...

WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY SO AFRAID OF?. If there had been any question remaining as to whether the Republican leadership gave a damn at all about the truth regarding the causes of 9/11, it's gone now:
The independent commission investigating the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks announced on Tuesday that it was seeking an extension of its deadline to complete the investigation until at least July, raising the prospect of a public fight with the White House and a final report delivered in the heat of the presidential... Even putting the government in the most favorable possible light, the report would still have to at least hint at the question of why none of the people responsible for failing to stop the 9/11 attacks has received so much as a reprimand. Arthur Silbur refers to that in another article as well.
