Governments Embrace Open Source
The Taiwanese government recently became the latest one to advocate the development and adoption of open source software. The main reason? Cost, of course. The government plans to save nearly $300 million that it otherwise would have paid in royalty fees to software giant Microsoft. [osOpinion]
This is how it will end. MS will be brought to it's knees by Open Source overseas because of its behavior. In the end price will rule, and free is hard to fight. All the BSA threats will not change that reality...mj
