More AOhelL
I called customer support to try and get the bottom of my problems. Wanted to see if there was a fix to help between now and next Thursday when my DSL goes in. The story I got was interesting...they do not support 10.2! My problems started after I upgraded to 10.2.1. AOhelL told me that I could downgrade to 10.1 or use a Classic version.
My favorite moment came when the tech explained how this happened. It's Apple's fault. At least according to AOhelL it's because "10.2 was announced for next February", and "Apple released it last month instead." My jaw hung slack. I didn't call him on it, but I have to admit that it's one of the best stories I've heard. Since last January Jobs and Co. have been saying late summer for 10.2, this is the first time I've ever heard next February as a release date. I guess when you're as incompetent as AOhelL is (at releasing Mac versions of your software) you'll lie in any fashion you can...mj

Weird scenes from the goldmine...
My jouney through AOhelL continues. Weird and interesting news to read -- I would love to have this camera, Kazaa seems to be going out of its way to tick off the music industry, and if you can figure out where this idea came from -- please don't tell me --- I have too much data as is. Thank you to boingboing for that little jem, almost ruined by coffee for me this morning...mj
