FCC votes no on satellite TV merger
The regulator grounds the proposed merger between EchoStar Communications and Hughes Electronics, but the companies intend to keep up the fight...more [CNET News]
Even the business owned Bush administration couldn't turn a blind eye to how bad this merger was for consumers. The amazing thing is that they thought it would ever get approved. We need more competition, not less, and this one would have granted a monopoly in most rural areas, not a good idea...mj
