The last of the minor revisions and new assets are supposed to be appearing in my In-box today, from Jalna via the advertising agency in Sydney. I will be relieved to wrap this project. It has taken a while and entailed far more work than they were willing to pay for.
In an earlier post to this weblog I called for banning the words simple and basic from the vocabulary when discussing web design issues. This project is why. It may look simple and somewhat elegant in its design, but it was anything but that to code.
I am still left with the puzzle of how to bill these people for this job, when I am not permitted to do so by the NEIS scheme people until the 12th September.

Hah! One in the eye for Intel, Gateway and Hewlett-Packard.
“Plaintiffs in the case claim that the chipmaker and PC manufacturers marketed the Pentium 4 deceptively, and that the Pentium 4 itself is slower and less powerful than the Pentium III or AMD’s Athlon processor.”
At least Apple’s products get better each version, hardware and software. Intel’s and Microsoft’s just get worse.

From the New York Times is this article by Vicki Goldberg on the great Czech photographer Josef Koudelka.
That reminds me—I wonder what happened to my little Photo Poche book on Koudelka? I am sure I left it in Perth somewhere. I once had a huge collection of photography books, but I got mortally tired of carting it all around the planet, especially since I have never had any permanent homes anywhere. So I gave it all away, except for the books left here.
