I'm pregnant
This is most surprising. According to the e-mails I am receiving from verybestbaby.com, I am now in my 13th/14th week of pregnancy.

Apparently my developing foetus "now weighs between one and two ounces and measures 3.6 inches long". Also, I will "probably begin to feel much better around this time as nausea and fatigue continue to dissipate".

And I thought it was just the booze!

Weirdly, despite my complete lack of female reproductive organs, I find myself feeling quite excited at the prospect of motherhood.

I suppose I should unsubscribe, but I feel strangely compelled to see it through to the end. It's nice to get e-mails congratulating me for making progress with something, and the pictures are really heartwarming.

I think I'm actually getting broody.

I know it will end in tears. I'm obviously not thinking logically. Still, what do you expect from a man in my condition?

Public performances--music always too loud? [Ask E.T]

I often have the same problem at the cinema. Do the producers really intend that the audience's heads explode when the protagonist clears his throat?
