What's the duration?

There is one thing I find annoying about most streaming audio and video Internet shows.  They almost never advertise the length/duration of the show in the text/html description of the show.  Something so basic about the show is usually not easy to find.  Look at today's edition of the NPR program "Day to Day.  You would think the producers of these shows would recognize that a 5 minute or 30 minute show take different attention commitments from the listeners.  It's not like I don't have a choice with internet audio.  Most times when they don't tell me the duration I ignore the audio information and move on.

This situation is unlike and different from linked audio mp3 files.  MP3 files usually download fast on a broadband connection and register their ending time right in the audio player.  If I don't have the time to finish listening to the audio message now, I just save the mp3 file to complete the listening later.

Argentine

Blogdigger MP3 Media - Latest links for .mp3 files -> Argentine is a Brooklyn based band that is hopefully going to garner more attention now that their latest album, In Other Fictions, has just started to distribute internationally through the Pehr label yesterday. The band’s influence of dreampop and shoegaze clearly come into play here. The band adds to their dreamy pop sound by also bringing in a cello, violin, piano and an accordian. This is the type of music that moves you to stay still with your eyes closed.
