From the Personal Dept:

Gone for a few days to visit with friends.

Be back Saturday.

From the Feed-The-Animals Dept:

Safari breaks single day download record for Apple [MacCentral]

Nice. It's also nice to see all of the chatter on Dave Hyatt's Blog... The next version Safari will be better thanks to the blogging community. It's fun to watch.

From the Personal-Copies Dept:

Bill would allow copying of music, movies.[InfoWorld: Top News]

The headline from InfoWorld is a bit misleading. It should be something like "Bill would allow circumventing of DCMA for personal copies". But, it contains interesting information anyway.

From the C00l-T00ls Dept:

XSLT Tools 1.0.

This scripting addition allows AppleScript to apply XSLT transformations to XML data, use XPath expressions to extract information information from XML data and extend the XSLT processor using AppleScript functions. By Mark Alldritt.
[Scripting Additions @ macscripter.net] [AppleScript Info]

Woh, no way. I wish I had more then a cursory knowledge of XML...

From the Reading Dept:

Down and out in the Magic Kingdom. [Mike Cohen's Weblog]

A book released under the Creative Commons License, availiable for purchase or download

Cory Doctorow has already proven himself with 0wnz0red, a well-written, fun, and geeky short story.

Of course, the server is Slashdot-ed. Try over the weekend.
