From the Just-Thinking Dept:

I was thinking today about trying to write a palette for Interface Builder (part of the Mac OS X Developer Tools)... wondering if you could somehow draw (specific) data in a user-specified spot. Writing something like this with Interface Builder might take less time then trying to write a super-flexible custom interface/form builder. Think how cool FileMaker Pro's layout editor would be using Interface Builder instead of the custom thing.

It might work nicely, 'cept for all the gottas: I believe your app would need to be bundled, it would only work on X (IIRC) and you would introduce some very system specific code (may be a non-issue, but).

But it would be cool.

Software Strategies for Emerging Developers

Or: "How should I release my software, and how much ownership should I keep".

Somewhat interesting read, if you happen to be in the industry.

Yes, issues in the plural. 6 to be exact. Happy reading.
