From the Hmmm Dept: Amaya - the W3C's Editor/Browser [Shell Extension City] Windows, Unix and OS X. Have to play with this sometime... wohoow! |
From the Seeking-Advice Dept: Sub-vocalization, Reading Speed, and Going Fast Hmm... maybe if I didn't subvocalize I would have a higher reading speed. On the other hand, I read pretty fast to begin with. I haven't measured my reading speed in a long time though, and it's too late tonight. Some good advice in the comments. However, like anything, the more one reads the faster one gets - that is, If I'm Remembering Correctly. |
From the For-The-Archive Dept: Editing Radio Weblogs with NetNewsWire I've been using NetNewsWire for the past few days, as a substitute for Radio's built in aggregator. Radio's isn't all that great with a dialup connection - it likes to be always connected, always on (at least in my experience). NetNewsWire doesn't seem to care (and that's a wonderful thing). News Aggregators change an hours worth of news-browsing into 15 minutes. All your websites are in one, central place, with the current news just waiting for you. It's a wonderful experience. There is a drawback: Sites have to implement the syndication feature. Most of the major ones have already, but there may be some slackers on your daily run. I use aggregators for everything but my comics. Sadly, none of those have the correct feeds. I've stopped reading news sites that don't have some form of syndication - it's just too nice having everything in one spot. |
From the Glad-I'm-Not-Working-In-That-Anymore Dept: The latest worm attack on the Internet Email and web. Appears to affect Windows SQL servers. The infamous RIT Resnet Website is (mostly) silent on the issue (at this time). However, Slashdot has information about the DDos attack(s).
Is your server still on the 'net? |
