From the Back Dept:

Ok, I'm back. This weblog should be updated semi-regularly again.

Sorry for the interruptions. Feeling less swamped now (although still with the same amount of work to do.. kinda funny)

From the Memory-Leaks Dept:

Today I had to fix some memory leaks in my software (gah! It has bugs? Psssss-shaw!). MallocDebug, under OS X, really was nice to work with. Helped me find some leaks.

Now they're all fixed, but my app is still crashing under certain conditions. Of course, it crashes deep in the AppleEvent Manager, where I can't see what's going on. On the other hand, from what I see (from the outside) of 10.2's new AppleEvent Manager, it looks really nice, fairly solid, and modern (C++ based).

I'm betting the old one was.. umm.. old. And crufty.

From the Waiiit Dept:

Running out of phone numbers [Wired]

This article blames Voice Over IP for the (future) shortage. I don't know.. sounds somewhat fishy to me, but I don't know the technology well enough to really comment on it.
