From the Back Dept:

I'm back. At least I think. Trying to get more time to do this.

Actually took the weekend off this week, and it's feeling good

w000t!

From the Communications Dept:

Steven Frank | Web Based Forums

An interesting article for those who use (or develop) web-based 'board systems.

From the |_|n1x Dept:

MacDevCenter | Package Management Under OSX

Or How To Install Unix Stuff Without Losing Your Hair

From the They-Know-Not-What-They-Do Dept:

kuro5hin | 35% Object Oriented

An insightful story about what happens when you try to make your software buzzword compliant, but only real care about that fact.

Doing Demo Days for Apple I would describe OS X to power-users as "protected memory, unix underpinnings, and fully buzzword compliant".

Of course, these were the days of 10.0, and Apple has added a lot more buzzwords to the mix since.

From the Browsing Dept:

Daring Fireball | Web Browswer Stickiness

In one way I'm glad that OmniGroup is using WebCORE for their rendering in Omniweb. In another way, in 5 years WebCore stagnatates because it has market dominance.. well, that's the kinda scary part.

I guess someone will write another/better rendering engine then, then.
