From the Stranded Dept:
MacIT | Stranded-on-an-island Apps:

My Desert Island Apps would be:

  • BBEdit
  • TigerLaunch
  • Safari
  • Mailsmith
  • Audion
  • NetNewsWire
  • Radio
  • Watson
  • Oh, I'm too lazy to link those. Click through to the Mac IT link, they have them all there.

And it's too late at night!

From the Better-Safe Dept:
Dive Into Mark | Backing up with rsync and SSH

An alternative to Dot Mac Backup, and a fair g33k3r one at that.

From the Keeping-The-People-Happy Dept:
NSLog | $50/Month Employee

I had this conversation with a former classmate up in Rochester this weekend - you've got to be willing to spend money to keep your people happy (and productive).

Soda, food, new equipment, training, etc - keeping your people happy - this is as an important part of your organization as your Quarterly Earnings.

Funny how some people don't know that.

From the Legal-Fun Dept

From the Working-Habits Dept:
It's funny - I know I've been working on something when suddently I have 25 Finder windows open, 3 CW8 Project files open, 12 different applications, and a dozen things on the desktop.

State I think they call it. State, and messy.

'Cause normally I'm very neat - no more than 4, 5 items on the desktop, very few Finder windows open, etc.

Oh yeah, the whole not blogging thing is an indication too.
