From The Wohoo Dept:
Getting the news in while I have time... next week is going to be busy too, won't get to post (graduating college, even though I've been finished for 6 months...).

From the Final-Frontier Dept:
Slashdot | Next-Gen Shuttles

Great quote:

..and shifted most of the nearly $5 billion the agency had already earmarked for the program to pay for current shuttle improvements. Among them: safety upgrades that it hoped would let the shuttle fly accident-free until 2020 or beyond...

2020!? The shuttle design would be... 50 years old then (1970->2020) and Columbia would have been 40 years old.

But very interesting. And people do need a way to get up there - even if the heavier stuff never comes down (my personal favorite idea).

From The Movies Dept:
kuro5hin | Matrix Reloaded Reviewed

A very funny review of this movie.

Personally, I didn't care for it much either. A group of us went - my sister, myself, and some others. It just seemed to be one large fight after another - and after a while that got kinda boring.

Major plot scenes: Neo's talk with the Oracle, Neo's talk with the Implimentor. That was it - the rest was just one big fight after another.

Both plot conversations went something like this:

Other Character: You see, I knw what you're going to choose
Neo: But don't I have free will?
Other Character: Well... yes, but you've already made the choice, you see
Other Character: Now I must go. You go fight something
Neo: Whoa

At least that's what it seemed like to me.
