The 3.5 release I turned 35 this month, at the end of what feels like a long stretch of activity. Since the 3.0 release, I've become a bona-fide entrepreneur, a husband, a home owner, and a dad. After I took the summer of 2001 off, it's been a non-stop roller coaster ride, both personally and professionally. I've had to re-establish myself as a contractor, and then grow into a true consultant. I've gone back to school to bolster my experiences with PuppetTime and Cycore, and the culmination is finally within sight. And I am currently dedicating myself to my next venture, both in practice and in business. I was hoping our vacation to Maui would afford me a chance to relax, regroup, and refocus, but alas vacations are no longer restful events. The reality is that, with Jackson in our lives, there is hardly a moment's rest, and of late Paulette seems to have much more endurance for it than I. 3:08:50 PM    trackback []

Massive FTP failure Somehow in the last month or so, my FTP hosting for deeje.com has become completely screwed, such that all my top-level folders are in tact, but all of their contents are gone. You can see the first glimpse of this above, where my barbed logo used to appear. I have no idea what has happened, but I suspect Interarchy, with its "magical" FTP sync technology... *#&$^*#... of course, that's just pure gut emotional reaction, I have no evidence to support it. What this means is that my gallery and poetry sections don't exist anymore, nor does my resume and some other sections. Thankfully, I still use Radio for my weblog, and that's located somewhere else. And of course, I can't remember the last time I backed up the site, either. I've been so good at backing up my PowerBook, and I thought I had a copy of the site there, but now I can't find it. I'm hoping there's a copy at home on my backup HD. Otherwise, the slate is now clean for the site-redesign I've long been dreaming about... now if I only had the time to implement it.
