Mark Pilgrim has written the most cogent argument yet for pushing towards device-independent HTML. (got it off Scripting News) comment 12:44:26 PM |
I've been using OmniGroup's OmniWeb browser off and on since I got my Powerbook and OS X in August; more off than on, really. With every "sneakypeak" build it keeps getting better, with improved HTML, CSS, and DOM support. I'm guessing that in six months they will have polished it enough to make ALA partisans happy while accomodating the needs of typical web users as well. Apple of course has their strategic agreements with Microsoft, but I'd really love to see an arrangement where OmniWeb is the preferred browser in OS X. It's a much better technology example than IE is, despite all of IE's legitimate strengths. comment 12:12:16 PM |
I'm recovering from a stupid math final last night. Three hours long, and nobody finished. I did the hard problems, but left the easy ones. Just an intro DiffEq course, but crammed into six weeks. Ick. comment 10:54:57 AM |
Paul Krugman: "What is this thing called greenhouse gas intensity? It is the volume of greenhouse gas emissions divided by gross domestic product. The administration says that it will reduce this ratio by 18 percent over the next decade. But since most forecasts call for G.D.P. to expand 30 percent or more over the same period, this is actually a proposal to allow a substantial increase in emissions. " Welcome!
