I've mentioned before that I switched from Linux to Mac OS X. (Well not completely, just on the desktop and laptop) Of course I've enjoyed the Apple switch ads since my laptop can run QuickTime now.

This week I ran across a different type of switch ad aimed more at Star Wars fans.

There's a new Apple store opening today in Denver at the Cherry Creek Mall. I'm going to try to be there to get one of the tee shirts they're giving away. Update - Big crowd, so I didn't wait in line to get in or get the shirt.

Talked to a guy that was sitting crosslegged near the exit setting up his new IBook (Airport card sitting next to it of course). They look a lot like my PowerBook. Best line, "My IBook rode with me all the way to Sturgis on my Harley ... just kept ticking all the way." The guy plans to mod the case by removing the white paint with a solvent and spraying it the same color as the Ti PowerBook. Next step is to buy a smoked keyboard and voila small Ti PowerBook. Sounds like fun. Gotta love macophiles.
