2004 Presidential Election

The President had this to say last night in Denver, speaking about his re-election, "It's a choice between an America that leads the world through strength and confidence and an America that is uncertain in the face of danger, I know exactly what we need to do to win the war on terror and to bring freedom and peace to the world." The quote is from this morning's Rocky Mountain News [June 2, 2004, "Nation has 'choice'"].

Here's the coverage from the Denver Post [June 2, 2004, "Bush bags millions at Denver fundraiser"]. From the article, "At the Phipps event, those who attended paid as much as $50,000 per couple, with the top contributors receiving a private reception with the president, Republican officials said. The money goes to the Republican National Committee's victory fund. A portion returns to Colorado for get-out-the-vote efforts in November."

Here's an article about the people demonstrating for and against the President's visit from the Denver Post [June 2, 2004, "Kerry backers turn out for motorcade"].

Blogs for Bush has inspired Blogs for Bush Rebutted. You gotta love politics. The people at Blogs for Bush are a bit quick to flame people that post comments. I tried, once, to get into a conversation there. Never again, conversation is not what they are after. I pointed out that they should name sources when they are quoting articles from the media, I got flamed.
