Colorado Water

"Jack Stanford, a consulting aquatic biologist, ... who grew up 10 miles from the canyon, has spent more than 20 years studying the Gunnison River flows for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Environmental Protection Agency and the park service," claims that 20 years of research are being ignored in reference to an agreement on stream flow, according to the Rocky Mountain News [March 9, 2004, ". From the article, "Without the roaring spring flows that created the canyon, the gorge will become a plugged drain that will destroy trees, plants, fish and beaches."
