Colorado Water

Here's an article from the Rocky Mountain News about Denver Water allowing an extra watering day this summer [July 1, 2004, "Water board no wet blanket"]. From the article, "Under the new plan, residents with even-numbered addresses who water on Sunday and Thursday now will have Tuesday as an option, so they don't have to stay home on Sunday. And people with odd-numbered addresses who water on Saturday and Wednesday now will also have Monday. Chips Barry, Denver Water manager, said the agency is still asking customers to be frugal and water only two days a week. But he said Denver Water is prepared if demand goes up. By going to a third day of watering, by the end of the lawn-watering season, an additional 9,000 acre-feet of water will be used if most of the customers water all three days, Barry told the board."
