Colorado Water
Non-potable water could ease the state's water crunch say water officials from Aurora, according to the Rocky Mountain News [July 30, 2004, "One person's wastewater ..."]. From the article, "The undrinkable, but partially treated, water is safe for use on lawns, golf courses and parks, freeing up treated water for washing, drinking and lawns. With the Front Range corridor's population expected to double by 2050, water needs will call for a supply equal to two new Denver Water systems and three Two Forks dams, Binney said. Denver Water currently supplies more than 1 million people. Two Forks would have stored enough water for about 2 million more people."
