One year ago (yesterday) Coyote Gulch was pointing to water issues in the Fraser River valley. (Of course the Denver Post link is dead. Sigh.) The article attributed this quote to Michael Bennet, "We recognize Winter Park and other recreational opportunities in the high country are hugely important to Denver's own economic interests. It is fantasy to believe that this state can solve its water problems unless we can figure out ways to work together."

One year later Michael Bennet has moved on to the Denver Public Schools but Mayor Hickenlooper is hoping to raise awareness and help find solutions to Colorado's water problems with the lecture series Wringing Water from the Rocks. The third lecture in the series is tonight. I'll see you there.
