Denver November 2004 Election
Third party candidates sometimes effect the outcome of elections. In 1992 Bill Clinton carried Colorado largely due to Ross Perot draining votes from President George H.W. Bush. In 2000, of course, it is widely thought that Ralph Nader prevented Al Gore from winning Florida and thus the presidency.
