Denver November 2004 Election
Daily Kos: "Sirota maps out (Montana Governor-elect, Brian) Schweitzer's winning strategy: They offered a great candidate in Schweitzer; He ran as an outsider, a reform candidate, battling against two decades of one-party Republican rule; He wooed small businesses by targetting big box retailers like Wal Mart who are laying waste to downtowns everywhere; He appealed to environmental sensibilities of hunters and fishermen."
With the addition of fiscal conservatism and a vow to keep water in the basins of origin it might work in Colorado. North Denver just finished chasing off a Wal Mart at the old Elitch's.
Coyote Gulch attended graduate school in Montana. It changed my perception of natural resources, living amongst so many that depended on the forests for a living, seeing so many nude ridges, and being able to visit old growth areas. The Forest Service had a regional office there at the time. How do you align self-interests in such a diverse group?
