Denver November 2004 Election
Here's an article about Govenor Owens, choosing the replacement, for U.S. Senator elect Ken Salazar from the Denver Post [November 23, 2004, "Dems demand bipartisan pick from Owens for attorney general"]. Salazar is Colorado's Attorney General until January when he moves to Washington D.C. From the article, "When Republican Gov. Bill Owens chooses a successor to Democratic Attorney General Ken Salazar, the nominee will have to share Salazar's values and appeal to both political parties, according to Senate Democrats who have the power to derail Owens' choice."
