Andrew Pulrang on Bush's Comments on Palestine Today

President Bush's "vision" for the Middle East makes a lot of sense ... as a reading of the current situation and a prediction of what conditions are necessary to make it better. However, as a set of demands, they are disasterous. You can't tell a people who resent any sort of outside, seemingly biased, interference, that they must adopt democratic ways, but then instruct them on who they can and cannot elect.
