Lots of Pain, No WebGain

WebGain sells Java development tool. TogetherSoft executives say will purchase the family of software programming tools, called WebGain Studio, which includes the popular Visual Café Java tool. [CNET News.com]

BEA bought WebGain from Symantec. Wonder what BEA's spin on this is. Probably not much.

This is a new ball game, having the military play in the field where political repercussions are taken into affect. I'd rather have these types of things led by the civilial intelligence agencies and then utilize the military when needed for the 'tough' work (like we do when the president calls in the troups). That's not how this story says it's going to work.
