Crop circles were discovered last week by the San Francisco Chronicle.

Using a map made from a composite of the photos available, I recolored the image with Photoshop, first reducing the colors to a red/blue mixture, then, subtracting not-blue to get yellow and green. Now the picture tells a story!

Space aliens from a distant planetiod, probably the second in their system, have visited northern California. The water molecule means the star is Rucbah. The curvature of the path to earth, no doubt indicates the distance, as derived from Einstein's theory so you will know how old your twin will be when you get there.

I was worried at first about the sloppyness of the concentric circles representing orbits. But now it makes sense, because the flying beach balls mean these aliens like to par-tay!

(The links for this story were somehow followed through a temporal wormhole from Space Tramp's 7/1 article to the Chronicle's 7/3 article. Oh, and the kid who saw motorcycle lights? That's what they wanted him to see. And if you're not a twin, sorry.)
