Just a quick note on the War.

I just read Dave's comment on the torture situation in Iraq. No we didn't make a mistake trusting him. We didn't trust him. Rumsfeld is even less elected than is his boss, the president. He's been snide to Americans who ask questions and outright lied to those who didn't.

He's also prosecuted a war - you know, war, where the only business is to kill people who disagree with you - a war that was based on a lie. An ever changing lie. Why are we there? I don't really know, but I do know it's not about finding dangerous weapons, not about deposing a dangerous madman, not about liberating downtrodden people. It's about clearing a family name and making a profit in the energy business.

Lets follow the money, and begin by prying out the guest list of vice president Cheney's private talks with 'interested parties' in the weeks before 9/11/01. One thing I'd like to know, is were there any middle eastern interests represented there and were they offered any kind of 'hands off' treatment in return for favorable stances on the VP's company's interests?

And, as for the recently revealed systematic torture of our prisoners of war being an aberation of the usual good deeds of American authorities, ask Rodney King about that.
