If you are interested in the Beatle's songs from a music-theoretical point of view, you must spend some time examining this awesome site. It analyses every Beatles song. And the analyses are excellent. Interesting, informative, and enjoyably written. (But you will definately get more out of them if you're at least a little familiar with basic ideas of music theory.)
I've been printing out one song analysis at a time and using it as part of my bedtime reading for the last few nights. I expect to read all of them over the coming months and/or years. |
