 There's a lot of red on this voting for the new Java Specification Participation Agreeement Community Draft Ballot. Several of the yes votes also indicated that the Apache position points need to be addressed as a part of the public review process. Momentum is building!

Geir Magnusson Jr is pulling together a plan for Apache/Jakarta folks to get together in the bay area on the 26th. That date was chosen as many out-of-towners may be in the area anyway for JavaOne. He has been relentlessly trying to get me to come and despite my aversion to flying cross country on consecutive weeks, I must confess that I am weakening...
