The Mac OS That Can't Be Tweaked. Before Mac OS X, the Mac interface was one of the most customizable systems ever developed, which led to a lot of innovation. But OS X is closed to tweakers. Critics think Apple is shooting itself in the foot. By Leander Kahney. [Wired News]
Years ago I read an article in PC Magazine about how Mac OS 9 couldn't be customized as much as Windows. Now we read that Mac OS 9 was the greatest thing to customized and Mac OS X is not. Not all these things can be true at the same time and they are not. There are plenty of customizations one can do in Mac OS X. But, clearly, Leander Kahney purpose is to criticized Apple at every turn. Why? Because that is what brings in viewers. Truth is such an outdated concept...
