For Guitarists on the Go, a Svelte Box Packs Boom. At first glance, the sturdy little black box with reinforced corners resembles an industrial-strength version of Nintendo's GameCube console (strap handle included). But on closer examination, the volume and tone control knobs and the shiny input jack give away its true purpose: portable guitar amplifier. By Michel Marriott. At Web sites, Windows outpaces Linux. A survey finds that use of Microsoft's Windows Server 2003 is growing quickly and that much of the new business is at the expense of Linux. [CNET News.com]
What a disproportionate exaggeration! Only 8000 servers changed from Linux to Windows 2003 and a lot more changed from older versions of Windows to Linux. The only real piece is the number of new BSD servers which is interesting. Apache is still kicking IIS butt, but to say that that is mostly Linux is a clear exaggeration (it's about half Linux, but that put Linux and Windows in a dead heat for top OS/Server combo).
