So, Cory Doctorow of Boing Boing fame has published Eastern Standard Tribe. If it is half as good as Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom, it is not only worth downloading (yes, you can download it for free... legally), it will be worth buying after reading it! This is a mega meme for me. The internet is (not only) about price (free or cheap) it's about distribution (fast) and (instant!) gratification. That's why it transforms everything and wins all the time.

I asked a clerk in Barnes & Noble where the True Crime section was. "I'm looking for some ideas," I said. She turned and gave me this sly look, her eyes laughing. It was only then that I noticed how cute she was. God, I do love intelligent women whose lights are still on.
