Rumors of street closings tonight. I just went out and saw little, but now I can hear protests in several directions from my home. Similar to the protests stage last year during the strike.

Peter, Paul, Mary . . . and God. A lost proto-feminist text, "Gospel of Mary of Magdala," offers a more provocative look at early Christianity than even "The Passion." By Nicholas D. Kristof. [New York Times: Opinion]
I just finished reading Da Vinci's Code. I know, I'm behind times, but I wouldn't have guessed that's a book I would like. I did enjoyed it, despite the weak ending. But what I enjoyed the most is the further reading about the Priory of Sion that has ensued.

Went to the site of the battle and we seem to have returned to that weird "normalcy" that our vice-president likes so much. There are a lot of damage, but they blend well with the previous damage the area has suffered. Of course, our chavista mayor will not reppair any of it (and the mayors of other areas of Caracas couldn't care less). The Major Mayor (Peña), put there by Chávez but changed hearts soon after elected, is too busy trying to present himself as something different from what he is... He wouldn't have gotten anywhere without Chávez support, hence, I blame Chávez for all his (in)actions.
