OSX DocServer - I can't wait until Mono is out . Hopefully there would be a way to do NET and even some rudimentary ASP.NET on OSX. That would just be a kick I think.

I'm still on my pet peeve of OO programming. I read a lot of stuff. Aside from the daily dose of web, I frequently produce technology related book reviews for magazines. Looking at my library chockfull of books on Java, XML and .NET, I had a brain fart. It occured to me that one reason why the Java code I see in various examples and books is better organized than many MS .NET equivalents can be found in the fact that a great number of .NET'ies come to the environment from VBScript and classic ASP. Eventually there will be some C# books and sample apps available from people with Java or SmallTalk background. I'm curious to see how they will differ. If a Java coder would set aside his preconceptions and take a look at C# and ASP.NET, I guarantee he would be very excited about the possibilities of this combination.

The x86 OS X Success Strategy. For those of you who have been wishing for a copy of Apple's Mac OS X to run on your x86 PC, your wish may soon be granted if recent reports regarding graphics accelerator companies ATI and Nvidia are to be believed. According to the reports, the two companies apparently have set up teams to investigate porting OS X to an x86 CPU. It has been rumored that an x86 version of OS X exists somewhere deep within the confines of Apple Computer's (Nasdaq: AAPL) software laboratories, although none of us mere mortals living outside the company's Cupertino campus truly know for sure...
