THX audio standards on the move. Gramophone Feb 6 2002 11:17PM ET [Moreover - Arts and culture news]

THX in cars! Not such a bad idea to bring their expertise to the fastest growing area in consumer audio.

Peter Gzowski, 67, Raspy Voice of Homey Radio for Canadians. New York Times Feb 7 2002 1:16AM ET [Moreover - moreover...]

OK, I think what's going to happen is that Canuck will remain my main writing site and this will become my weblog. This page will be mostly news stuff with occassional commentary and a tool with which to organize postings into categories. It's possible that Canuck will stream the xml files from here and that I'll turn off generation of html files.

Looking forward to getting this worked out . . . and having the time to do it.

Mike's Message 1/29/2002: "It was during those very days, while the rest of us were in shock and sadness, that the executives at Enron were selling off their stock and shifting assets to their 900 phony partnerships overseas. Did they notice the remains of the dead being pulled from the rubble while they were downloading their millions, or were their eyes glued only to the bottom third of the TV screen as the stock ticker with the rigged Enron price crawled across the images of firemen desperate, in tears, to find their fallen brothers? " [Adam Curry: CurryDotCom]

Powerful stuff from Michael Moore.

Spit Out by the Star-Making Machine. International Herald Tribune Feb 5 2002 9:24PM ET [Moreover - Arts and culture news]
More on the mess that is the music biz at the turn of the century.

Variety pounces on Hollywood North [The Globe And Mail - Arts]
A nasty bit of business. When big money is at stake, the lies aren't far away. Amazing that a trade mag would spew pure bullshit like this.
