Congratulations Boston!
The Red Sox are in the series (and the Yankees are not). Almost hard to say which makes me happier. Nike aired this sweet ad in response.

Poll shows that Bush supporters lie to themselves to feel better
Mark Frauenfelder:
The Sept. 11 Commission found that there were no substantial ties between Hussein and al-Qaeda, and Charles Duelfer's report states that Iraq had no significant WMD program. Nevertheless, the overwhelming majority of supporters of the President take comfort in pretending that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, and pretending that there were significant ties between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaeda.

Inside the iMac G5
If you were going to rank all the reasons for Apple's mid-nineties revival, you'd have to put the success of the original iMac (along with the return of a guy named Steve) right at the top of the list. The brightly colored plastic all-in-one not only inspired all sorts of copycat designs, computer-related (mice, printers, and hubs) and otherwise (the George Foreman grill), but also made computing fun again. The flat-panel iMac introduced two years ago had the same effect -- here was a computer you wouldn't mind displaying out in the open, instead of tucking your system away behind closed doors.

Portable sat-radio to impact "air" radio?
If this rumour is true, XM Satellite Radio and Delphi are going to
introduce a wearable satellite
radio very soon. Supposedly it’ll be called “MyFI” and a quick check of
the US Patent and Trademark Office reveals that they Delphi did in fact
make a
trademark filing for “MyFI” a couple of months ago.
Satradio until now has been mostly restricted
to Americans in cars. The CRTC is considering an application for
Canadian distribution from the CBC and Sirius. This could be another
technology to nip away at the market share that over-the-air radio
broadcasters have. [via Engadget]
