[Via montreal city weblog] Cait and I got caught in a flash flood in Montreal about 17 years ago. Fortunately we weren't in the water but we were behind a huge line-up of cars that couldn't get past a flooded area on the Trans Canada. We were there for over 3 hours. Fortunately I'd just bought some cans of apple juice, there was a baby bottle in the back seat, and a letter opener (which I used to puncture the can) in the glove compartment. Cars were floating down Decarie Blvd. Cait's mom was quite worried. This was in the days before cell phones kids!
